@sumudu I don't think that's the sense of ownership that is intended. Indeed, the point of PESOS is that you do indeed copy and download something that you put in, for example, Instagram. Because if you don't, and something happens to Instagram, that content of yours might just vanish.

@phoneboy There isn't one. If you're happy posting to some place and having them do what they like with what you send, that's fine. Keep calm and carry on.
Personally, I find quoting a fictional character from an unlikely screenplay to be a dubious proposition at best. But then, I don't need any persuading. There's a recognition on that page that it isn't very good, but I'm not sure I see that everything else flows from anything much on that page.

@phoneboy There's a system? News to me. Part of the difficulty is that it wasn't actually intentionally designed. Some bits have been carefully and intentionally thought through. Others have just accreted and some of those are being rethought, while others are not. I know that efforts to get minimal mf2 markup into the WP core have been met with opposition there, so whether any big player will ever adopt is doubtful. After all, what's in it for them?

@phoneboy I’m sorry, but I think that is both wrong and foolish. The barriers that exist are being lowered, and the fact that they are not barriers to some of the enthusiasts is being recognised.
