@matigo Seems to me that in a footnote, if you counted the number of [ before the first ] you could use that to determine where to end, but that is both obvious and naive, and probably wouldn’t allow for nested footnotes, which would be A Good Thing.

@matigo It obviously does. And you deserve a share of that. I believe, however, that the comparison with a similar job, with lower expectations, will count for more. They can always turn around and say, "Well that's why we gave you the job."
