And I've not used freecodecamp. I like the code academy teaching style, so far. Nearly done with beginners php.

I write prose in byword with occasional visits to BBEdit for folder-wide find and replace. BBEdit for non prose. But I realise I am using BBEdit with one hand tied behind my back. That started to change this afternoon.

I can dream.

Actually, I'm walking example of the ios is for consumption osx is for production mindset. Always have been. I've always said that if I lost my phone I'd replace with an iPad and dumbphone. But that could be a while yet.

// @kdfrawg

I could think of getting an ipad for my coda. :)

// @kdfrawg

I only have a phone, so that would be pointless. But thanks. I don't think XCode is going to work well for me. But BBEdit might well.

// @kdfrawg

@kdfrawg Coda at $99 is probably a good price, but right now, a bit of a splurge for me.

//

I like it a lot, except for the interface and the occasional over-literalness of the instructions.

Forgot a ! Fail!

Fascinating. I can see coming back to this and the sources in it again and again.

Thanks for the useful pointers.

I have XCode for some reason. Can't remember why I needed it. Maybe when I started messing with Octopress as a CMS. Anyway, I've never really used it. So it may be worth exploring, when the time comes actually to build things.

// @kdfrawg

Thanks. I vaguely recall BBEdit having such a thing, but not needing it before. I use TextExpander for my boilerplate. Will have to investigate.
