I didn't mention that because it is a very personal preference. I would always change it in my own work but others may feel differently.

@literary If you are using Adobe tools (Acrobat reader etc) there is often an option under file save or file save as to optimise file size or reduce file size.
@literary Have you tried reducing the size of the PDF? Depends on the tools you have, but can be effective.
