@kdfrawg The recipe I read called for a tablespoon of fennel seeds, but I only had anise and that seemed to be a bit too much, so I left it out.

@kdfrawg I heard about them on the bbc food programme. Just sliced, with thin slices of lemon here and there, dotted with 50gm butter and baked for an hour, covered with foil the first half.

@streakmachine We too, but not for another 20 minutes or so. With lemon roast potatoes and asparagus. And a thing called vignarola, which is a sort of stew of onion, artichoke, peas and broad beans.
