I don't need your level of paranoia to keep sane. And this is honestly the first time I have had any trouble from MAMP, which looks increasinngly like it is actually a WP problem.

Update of MAMP did not fix it, so now working my way down the list of things to try.

I'm not sure why I would want to develop in Ubuntu with LAMP, when I could be developing in OSX with MAMP?

I used to love taking visiting friends to Wookey Hole.

How does that work? I know about VMs only in the context of Parallels and similar. Can you point me to an explanation, please?

Aarrgh. Weird error in MAMP won't let me access local WP install. Have been all over stackexchange to no avail. Ah well, it was time to update MAMP anyway, wasn't it?

Excellent. I hope you get some quality down time.

That's more likely. What there is, is good. But there isn't much yet.

Currently slightly underwhelmed by microblog, but that's ok.

Makes total sense. I'm trying to do some of the same, but not via microblog.

You can pay Manton $5 a month to host your microblog for you, or you can connect an RSS feed from your existing microblog (which could be 10C or anything that gives you an RSS feed. The main target seems to be WP. I haven't fully understood the differences yet, not by a long way.
