@kdfrawg Funny you should mention that. I just had an email from BBC R4 Food Programme reminding me about a pumpkin programme I did with them in the 1990s, because they're planning a new one, presumably around Halloween.

They do grow reasonably well in England, especially in the warmer southwest. But there's never been that much of a taste for them.

I love them.

And the carving tradition began with giant swedes in Yorkshire, IIRC.
