That horrible moment when, after a really interesting interview for X publication, the person you're talking to casually says, "by the way, I spoke to Y from X publication earlier. I guess you two know all about each other."
And you don't.

@kdfrawg
So with Scrivener, goal is a target length and a target finish date? I guess that makes sense. I still have not done anything longer than about 25000 in Scrivener so have never used that feature. Also, for that kind of job I don't often have a target length.

@matigo so far, abundance for some has been obtained by scarcity for the rest. Even in your future, there will be plenty who still don't have the time to get anything done. I suspect lots of people who have no work would leap at the chance of a two-day work week. Until we have a universal basic income, things are going to be pretty scary.
@matigo
Steps are definitely different, because I want to meet my goal each day. Anything over goal is a bonus. The same ought to be true of words and cookies, but for some reason it isn't.

@kdfrawg do you keep a cumulative graph, or would that tempt you to slack off after an excessively productive day, like the 5000 one a few days back?
@streakmachine I have no idea who makes the busses for Washington DC. They were very cute, about 11 and maybe 12, I'd judge.
Dentist tomorrow, so I suppose I better get to work on the next Eat This Newsletter.
