Forklift looks like a possible alternative, or stay with PF7, or go back to the Finder and make better use of Alfred.

PSA If you use Pathfinder and make use of the sidebar for aliases, actions etc., do not upgrade to PF8. It is completely broken. Had to revert to PF7 and have asked for my money back.
