Blast. Something weird has happened to my shift key on the left side, which is the side i normally use. I took the key cap off and it was horrible below. So I cleaned it out and the shift key still doesn't work. If I push it down without the keycap on, it works just fine.
I've known for a long time I need to clean this sucker out, but I cannot find a proper keycap remover anywhere, and postage from Amazon is a joke.
