OK, I had not signed in. And it wasn't an entirely silly question. But …

Having to click New Post to sign in is almost as counter-intuitive as clicking Start to log out of Windows.

I guess maybe you are trying to encourage people to become users, and that's great. But for an old hand like me, it was just mysterious.

What's really weird, for me, is that in Safari on OSX, I see no way of responding to posts in either Cappuccino or Mocha. When I click on a post in Cappuccino, it expands slightly, as if the buttons should be there, but nothing is visible. In Mocha, nothing happens, and I can't click on anything.

Are they intended only for Safari in iOS?

My remark was intended for the nap, but applies equally well. Is Kerri-Ann here? And do any of the new themes or clients return you to where you were after looking at a thread?

Always a fine idea.

Both ideas sound good to me, although I would probably prefer the speaking machines. Did you listen to the recent Transom about short podcasts about sound? Fascinating stuff.

We could talk about what constitutes true democracy, but in this case there would be no point as my comment was entirely sarcastic.

Normal being free and democratic, right?

I understand that. But apart from subscribers to ddg, how else did you promote the book. You could still be promoting it, for example to people who are learning English and want a better understanding of some idioms.
