@kdfrawg Thanks. Good to be back (here).
@sumudu Thanks. I had a really good time, some of which may emerge in due course on various channels. Three weeks of house exchange with Vancouver was a total blast. Such a great city. Shame there is no way I could begin to afford to live there.

I have a test bed of Known, aka @withknown on Twitter. But I haven't made as much use of it as I would have liked. It is a good example of Indieweb but the problem is that Indieweb is still very geeky and there just aren't very many people doing it. I am interested to see what @manton's Snippets thing will do.

Okay I'm back now. Apologies for not being in here while on my travels but I still find it very difficult to do 10C on a phone with just Safari. I won't bother to ask what has been happening. I will just plunge back in.
@matigo Didn't we have an issue with CloudFlare and potp.it before? I'll check it out when I get a moment.
@sumudu That's good to know -- but which site? I have quite a few.

@c That would suit me nicely. My registrar offers only paid certificates.

@konrad I'm very happy with the Klangfurt LUFS meter, though it does not do any management, at least the free version. Reaper has an excellent loudness measuring extension, which will normalize to a set LUFS value, but I tend to prefer to do that by ear. I agree that the audio stuff, like image before it, is not getting away from emulating non-digital things, but as almost everything I do is speech, I'm not going to have much use for it. Sometimes I think it would be fun to pay up for the Izotronic package to do various kinds of repair, but then I just lie down until the feeling passes.
@konrad I used to play with Reason eons ago but I really am not a good enough musician to make it worth my while. As for plug-ins, I wonder to what extent they differ more on their skeumorphic presentation, rather than on the guts within. I don't use most of the non-free ones enough to justify paying, and the ones I get free (from Apple and Reaper) do enough for my needs 99.9% of the time.
