Never mind; I think I have a different solution. Thanks anyway.

@anyone: I'm trying to restore a WordPress database backup. The file is here https://www.dropbox.com/s/ertp5r0ed9aohoj/fornoblogwp20170915_365.sql.gz?dl=0

When I try to gunzip in terminal, it says that the file is not zipped.

When I try to import directly in PHPMyAdmin it says #1064 - You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '?t??Y' at line 1

I've opened the file in BBEdit and it certainly looks compressed to me, but Stuffit Expander doesn't seem to understand it either.

What now?

When it is good it is heavenly, when it is bad it is hellish.

You live such a sheltered life.

You can use it from a browser, but it is not as good as on iOS.

There are things I really like, others that will take more time. I'm thinking of doing a monthly round-up in a couple of days, even though it has not been a full month yet.

I'm also still toying with the idea of the free Rescuetime.

That is definitely a plus.

How distressing that must be.

@kdfrawg I knew there had to be a reason.

  1. Brass monkeys …

True. But it could be a lot warmer and still cool enough to sleep. Indoor temp is currently about 14C
