@sumudu Not at all! In my understanding, journaling is about day to day activities, and used to be called "keeping a diary". Of course, it might include other things besides daily activities, but the main organisational principle is the calendar.
A lot of people who write blogs write about topics and the calendar is not that important.
And many mix both.
@sumudu Some blogging amounts to keeping a journal, but much does not. Maybe then you would not want to call it blogging.

@jws Ah, right. I don't think I do that either, but I'd have to record it and do one of those spectral things on it to be sure. I think uptalk is very definitely adding a "questioning" or interrogative prosody to a declarative statement.
@jws Not sure I agree that I would read that sentence with a rising inflection at each semi-colon.
