Not at all! In my understanding, journaling is about day to day activities, and used to be called "keeping a diary". Of course, it might include other things besides daily activities, but the main organisational principle is the calendar.

A lot of people who write blogs write about topics and the calendar is not that important.

And many mix both.

Some blogging amounts to keeping a journal, but much does not. Maybe then you would not want to call it blogging.
