No. I'm saying that the party does not understand what a society is. A society -- underpinned by a social contract -- is a deal wherein some individuals give up specific goods in order to support other members of the society.

To use Dave's example, why are private prisons a good idea? If society wishes to remove certain people from its midst, it should be prepared to shoulder the cost without enriching others who have no incentive to reduce the number of inmantes they are looking after.

Probably easier to do something about my creeping senility.

Your guess is as good as mine. Fixed now [10centuries.org].

I blame both my own creeping senility and the clunky software I have to use. : P

True dat.

#DDP-103 Being a very belated response to someone falling out of love with libertarianism [evilgeniuschronicles.org] and an admission that I will not be taking part in Dog Days of Podcasting this year.

That is great. I'm glad they were big enough to do that.

For what it is worth, I think you're still wrong.

I just looked again, and I am a fool. All I could see was monthly subscription pricing, to begin with. Even one month would be too much. But there's also a batch price that should do what I need for a much more reasonable amount.
