This new SSD as an external boot drive is way more complex than I expected. I renamed the internal disk and gave the startup SSD the identical name to the old internal startup disk. Despite that, Many, many apps happily retain their connection to the internal disk, despite its changed name. And so far I have not discovered how to do a complete erase of the internal disk.
Bah.

@larand But 10C blogs don’t currently display webmentions, so you wouldn’t see replies from micro.blog here, whereas with the right plugins WP will display them.
That’s partly the point of m.b that it makes use of indieweb principles.
