Horrid feeling. I hope it goes well.

Thanks. I will check this out later today.

Not that I am aware of. Sometimes I change the name of a folder that contains a post. That would give it a different slug. But the contents of the item ought to stay the same. I would have to check what generates the UID, but that is my guess. They should still be in reverse chrono order.

The hover says "memory Usage". More to the point, that's a debugging bar that shouldn't really be visible in production. I'm so used to seeing it that I don't see it. It'll be gone soon.

Oh well, no matter.

While you were doing that, I was watching e02 of Samin Nosrat's Netflix series, on salt. That one was filmed in Japan. The first one was filmed in Italy. I enjoyed both of them, and it struck me how similar soy sauce and balsamic vinegar are in the two cultures. It is everywhere, but very little is "proper". Learned about moshio salt, and much besides. I think you would enjoy it.

Sort of. I believe that it used to be famous for old style fish pickling, narezushi, and that there is a shrine there with an altar that includes a statue of a loach, one of the fish in lake Biwa. Just an idle thought, but a photo of that would make an ideal banner image for an upcoming ETP, but I haven't been able to find one on my own. Could you have a look around?
