@jextxadore when I smoked cigars part of the pleasure was to be outside, no matter the weather. Still gets into clothes, but they're easier to clean afterwards than the soft furnishings etc.
Another fine weekend away in the country, eating too much and catching up with old friends.
@kdfrawg I've got a 50% wholewheat sourdough on the go now. Autolysed overnight, and then bulk fermented this morning. Currently sitting on the countertop getting its bench rest before shaping and final proof. So, fresh bread tonight.

@kdfrawg I don't think you would get very rich, or be able to expand, but as a nice little earner, I think it would be worthwhile. I'm going to think seriously about this in the new year.

@literary I'd like to intern in a proper bakery, but I have no ambition to open a bakery. Lately, though, I've been reading a lot about successful bread subscription schemes that sounds like an interesting model. People seem to sell 10-12 loaves a week at $10 a pop, which could be a nice little earner.
