@matigo Why would it ultimately be stupid? If you thought you had something to gain, you would set your principles aside and participate. FWIW, I use it a bit for the usal reasons -- keeping in touch and a bit of self-promotion. And I know my eyeballs are being sold. It just doesn't bother me that much, partly because I am extremely unlikely to respond to the people who've paid for access to me.

@matigo the Sony just feels good in my hand. I have a Nex-6. The viewfinder is excellent and I love the Sigma 60mm lens I have on it.
The main squeeze has a Fuji and it also feels good, with, I believe, an even better choice of lenses.
Both work fine in various auto modes but also offer full manual control when you want it.
@matigo one good piece of advice is to think of the lenses rather than the body. If you buy lenses of good quality, you can upgrade bodies later. And consider brands. For what it is worth, my choice would be mirror less and either Fuji or Sony.
